Fed up….. and some pretty pictures!

Posted by: rossmclennan on: November 12, 2008

Heeey folks,

It’s been a while, but now I’m back…. and (in case you hadn’t gathered from the title) I’m a little bit fed up. The weather is crap, I can’t help but be bored half the time, I got soo much school work to do and not enough hours in the day, and well…. school is just generally awful (more awful than it used to be!)

Last week was the week from hell, I can’t remember the last time I had such a bad week, pretty suckish. Too much work and lots of people moaning at me… tragic.

On the flipside, this week is looking to be better so far, even though the weather is still shite (although it is winter!) and I still have lots of school work to do. But then, I don’t even understand some of it (mainly Physics!) I was gonna drop Phys last week but then got talked out of it by none other than the legend that is Mr Humphries (Y) I’m just gonna stick at it for a while and see how it goes, no harm in trying, and although I’m still finding it quite difficult, Mr Humphries said he’s more than willing to help as often as needed which is appreciated, but his room is really far from the common room and I cba to walk :P hehe jokes…

School Ball is on my birthday…. that sucks. And I don’t even wanna go, but everyone insists I must go *rolls eyes* and that seems to be the thing to talk about this week…. “The Ball” *more rolls eyes* Not being funny, but it’s weeks away, and it’s gonna be shite, so why get so excited? Most of the girls have got their dresses already, most of the guys don’t even know what they’re gonna wear, and well….. I couldn’t care about any of it in the slightest.

Anyways, rant over!….

My new website is taking shape now, got fuck all to put on it, but it’ll be live soon, hopefully before Christmas! :)

Aaaand, I took a walk earlier on (and fuck me, it’s cold outside) but the sunset looked pretty neat from the Bridge in Abergwili =] Although I was too slow getting ready to go out with my camera that I missed the actual sun, but I still got some pretty pictures of the sky over Carmarthen. Also below, I got some pretty coool pics of the moon :)

Right, well that’s me done for another few months…. hehe more jokes, will try and update as regular as possible!

Cya soon!

Update….

Posted by: rossmclennan on: August 10, 2008

Well well…. I’ve been very busy since my last blog post. I’ve got a job now, working in Matalan in Carmarthen, and I’m loving it at the moment – come in and say hi :) I’ve also had my 5th (I think!) flying lesson in Swansea with another different instructor – Dave (again, I think that was his name!) in the PA38, and once again, did more of the same. But as usual, I got moaned at for too much looking at the instruments, and not looking out the window enough. Derek said I’d make a good instrument pilot though haha!

Went to Swansea the other day too, to see Mamma Mia! and I have to say, go watch it! It’s great – you’ll find yourself singing along, dancing in the aisles, or both! The soundtrack is amazing – I was initially shocked by Pierce Brosnan’s singing voice, although now it’s grown on me. There’s a lot worse singing voices around anyway. See the vid below to hear Pierce singing Abba classic, SOS.

I’ve been to Scotland twice since my last blog post too, and also went to Yorkshire last week, visiting the family :)

Starting to get slightly worried now-  get my GCSE results in less than two weeks, and I’m beginning to regret not putting as much effort as I should have had into them. But I guess it’s just a tad bit too late now.

I had some other things to say too, but I keep getting distracted and forgetting…. seems to be happening a lot recently!

Anyway, I’m gonna disappear for now, see you all very soon!

Thomsonfly & First Choice Airways to rebrand! :(

Posted by: rossmclennan on: June 15, 2008

Hey guys,

TUITravel UK today memo’d their staff releasing details of the new airline that will be formed due to the merger of Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways. As of 1st May 2009, they will both fall under the one new name of Thomson Airways. They will have a new uniform, and the aircraft will be painted in a new livery.  Only last year, they released details that as of April this year, they would become TUIFly, with their pretty yellow colour scheme – that never happened. Personally, I hate the new name, and would much prefer it if they were to rebrand as TUIFly, or even keep Thomsonfly.

Urgh :(

I’d Do Anthing – 17th May, 2008

Posted by: rossmclennan on: May 17, 2008

Evening,

Live review of I’d Do Anything – 17th May 2008…

Jodie – Up first, Jodie throws a good performance together; the dancing was good, I thought the vocal was a bit weak however; the judges liked her though.

Rachel – Rachel sung ‘I Will Always Love You.’ It was, in a word, amazing! The judges thought she lacked warmth behind her eyes, but reckon its easily changed – oh, and as a side note, she looks hot!! :)

Sam – Sam was fantastic, singing ‘Defying Gravity’ from the musical ‘Wicked’ and gets a standing ovation from the Olivers. The judges also like her! :)

We now find out that Jonny is the 8th, and final Oliver to go through. Next week, the final 3 Olivers will be chosen; I know which 3 I’m hoping it will be – Gwion, Chester and Jonny :)

The Olivers (in their crazy coloured skinny jeans!) then perform S Club 7’s song ‘Reach’ – it’s fab, as always! I love the Olivers! :D

Jessie is up next – I still don’t like her, even though I like the song she sung (LeAnn Rimes’ ‘How Do I Live Without You?’) She looks like a Leprechaun in her green dress :) Not really impressed with her performance either – John agrees, Denise thinks shes unfeminine, and Barry was quite moved by her performance. Andrew thinks she has gone ‘into an area of her voice that she is not used to.’ He says ‘As Long As He Needs Me’ would suit her perfectly as it is in her range – let’s just hope she has to sing it tomorrow night on her way out the door! :)

Niamh follows Jessie, not really a hard act to follow in my opinion, and is great singing No Doubt’s song ‘Don’t Speak’ It’s a nice performance, you can see the emotion behind her eyes – she really wants this role as Nancy. Denise thinks the perfomance ‘lacks punch’ and was more like a ‘teenager having a tantrum.’ John also thinks that it was not a ‘Nancy performance’ and saw the younger Niamh in that performace. Barry rants about some random crap again, like he usually does, so I can’t really comment on what he said cos I switched off. ALW is still worried that she might not be able to cope with 8 shows a week.

I’ve been looking forward to this performance – the Josephs from last years ‘Any Dream Will Do’ join the Nancy’s to sing ‘Dancing In The Street’ I like the Joeseph’s outfits, very trendy! :) The Nancy’s silver dresses, however, are a bit, well…. hospital xray dept. style! :|

———————

And that’s the end of the show – that finished quickly! Expect some vids later, looking forward to tomorrows show! Here’s a quick summary of what everyone sung….

Nancys and Olivers – Consider Yourself (from Oliver!)
Jodie – Holding Out For A Hero (Bonnie Tyler)
Rachel – I Will Always Love You (Dolly Parton /Whitney Houston)
Samantha – Defying Gravity (from Wicked)
Olivers – Reach (S Club 7)
Jessie – How Do I Live Without You (LeAnn Rimes)
Niamh – Don’t Speak (No Doubt)
Nancys and Josephs – Dancing In The Street (Martha Reeves & The Vandellas)

See ya later! :) x
